River Horse Trek

River trek beats global warming!

With rising temperatures over these glorious summer months, we were finding it increasingly hard to offer a full day ride which up to now, has been very popular.

A cooling river trek was the answer

With summer temperatures reaching 35 degrees the afternoons were becoming too hot to ride. So we invented a long half hour walk in the river with the horses having a great paddle and then bare back swimming them in the river followed by a siesta or swimming in the late afternoon. This has been so popular over these sweltering weeks that we even had people starting to request these bespoke river treks. So we decided to add it into our range of treks on offer – and its going down a storm!
